Are the 2 Files looks about these?

aksys253
S56ak253

For the MPC 4000 you must install the first File
The second is for the S5000/S6000 Samplers, not for the MPC

Another Tip from me is:
RTFM

On the Akai Site there are a lot of Manuals in PDF.
First you must install an Acrobat Reader, before you can read it

To open the Pad Editor, in the ak.Sys Browser, make the drum program you want to edit active, select
the MPC4000 node and open the contextual menu. Select “Pad Editor...” from the contextual menu
and the Pad Editor will open.

Are you connectet your MPC with AKSys ? (did you have a MPC 4000? other MPCs not compatible)
Did you see the MPC in the Program ?

ok

the pad editor sucks balls because you have to wait for the file to be transferred
