Transfering Sequences to Computer

your first question.... the files saved on the on the mpc/CF card/hard drive are seq/pgm/prj files. they can only be read by an mpc. (more specifically, the 1000 files can be read by the 1k and the 2.5k) and the samples are .wav files. in order to get them to be playable on your computer, you either have to resample your seq/song withing the mpc then transfer your completed resampled song to your computer then it can be played in media player (or whatever player you have on your computer)

My question is how to resample a sequence in order to transfer it to your computer as a recognizable file?

I'm sorry but could you be a little more specific or direct me to a place that is, since I'm sure I have just skipped over it.

there really no way to do it directly. you have to 'perform' into a midi tracker on the PC. just get one that allows you to record on multiple channels and away you go. i hope that was specific enough for you. just think this way you can make an impromptu arrangement... and then a whole world of plugins opens up to you... but then youll be back askin more questions. you need general knowlege about midi which is beyond the scope of this forum.

In record mode the mpc1k can record its main outs. Change the record source from analog to main out. You then save as a sample and transfer it to the pc like you would other samples. I have JJOS2xl but i think you can do this with any of the OS's. you dont have to run a cable either cuz it is hard wired to to do this.

calm down Tuck...you taking the internet too seriously. Check it, the answer was already in your post and given to you by faze1. You gotta be a little clearer with your questions because honestly it thru me off too. Basically you just need to set the MPC to resample itself. This is done in the record screen. Once you do that you will have a WAV version that will be recognized by the comp. All you will have to do then is drag the file over via USB. That is the answer to:
