New Pad Gap Fix Variation

3 Layers of electric tape on the bottom of each pad. Bam, Them little dunnies light up with a touch, like frogs in a dynamite pond. I don't think the tape will come loose either, time will tell. Anyone see any other downsides I may have missed?

maybe my elecric tape is thinner, i had to fix with 4 layers,

very easy to make....

i did it with 3 layers of duct tape with no special expectations and i must say i'm impress with the result.

Yo, thanks for the tip... But as a newbee, I was wondering, is this tip for the old model pads or for the new pad upgrade ? Sorry, but where I am (in France), it is not easy to find the pad upgrade, so if I can find anyway to improve my old pads, I would be happy to try

Also, does someone know how to fix some slightly broken 'mode' or 'undo' buttons on the MPC 1000 (a little plastic piece is broken on some of my buttons and it feels like I can push the buttons under the faceplate now)?

fix is for the new pads my man. As for the buttons, maybe cop some new ones or try glue?

For the buttons, I already tried some glue, but the result is not perfect (but I can still work on my beats, which is the most important). I don't know what 'cop new ones' mean (forgive my bad english). And I'm pretty sad that it is not possible to find replacement buttons right now...

sounds easy. but ever seen few years old tape how it gets slimy and sticky all over? maybe good idea to replace new tape atleast once a year...

make the sticky side face inward

use masking tape,it wont turn!!

i guess its better if the material is softer. i wonder if you can get thin foam tape...
