how to record?

i would like let the drum track 1 play and in the same time rec to my seq (a hi hat or a sample)how to do this...then evry time when i try to let the drum track play and change the seq the drum stop play'n...what i have to do to change this????

its cos you have your drums on seq one and your changing to seq two where there are no drums....if i have interepreted correctly that is:
