2000 froze in the middle of sampling...

Great. Spent ages doing some bootsy collins, anyone know anyway around this or how to unfreeze it? I was trimming the start of a certain sound and bam, thing just freezes up while i was scrolling. I've got a ZIP drive in the back but have never used it before, anyway at all to save what i was doing, or anyone know a way out of the freeze?

Mine never know froze on me when I got it on November..

Like the other dude says..power off and turn it back on.

OR leave it for a while. Like a PC if you get "not responding" and you leave it alone for a little bit of time it will sometimes clear itself.

I'm gonna leave it for awhile, this is getting pretty annoying, 3rd time it's frozen now while i'm sampling from the computer, honestly is it broken? Or can these things tend to freeze often... I can't see why it is, 32mb ram, i've got an SCI drive in and tried saving something to the iomega zip but it wouldn't seem to load.... After perfecting some samples for about 2 hours i really don't want to start again, get into it and have the same thing happen. Can anyone help?

The only thing I can say is get it checked and it may sounds like software issue.

Maybe dirty MPC inside. Or contact problems of cable and/or RAM. Bad RAM (or two different brands).

maybe try putting the latest OS on a "new disk," or get into the habit of "saving constanly..."
