No reverb out of 8 outputs, is it normal ?

Hello everyone! I'm new here and I bring a weird problem with me, lol.

Here it is : I made a song and used a Reverb channel (not Multi FX channel) on a couple of pads. Now, I'm bouncing the song via the 8 outputs into my computer for mixing and guess what, I noticed the pads comes out without reverb even if the setting is still there!

The thing is, I saw in both Multi FX channels that there was an option to assign them to any of the 8 outputs, but I haven't find that option in the Reverb channels. Does it mean I can't do it?

Can't I just have my sound with the reverb please

You must assign the effect channel to the external outputs, since it defaults to the main mix out. Or you could just use the main mix output for things that is running through the effects.

BTW: Get the PDF manual if you don't have it, and search for things like this on your computer, takes less time than writing a post here actually Manual got it all covered!

It seems that the reverb FX R1 and R2 are not assignable to the 8 Outs board. I've just tried it with my 2000 Classic. MultiFX 1 and 2 are assignable thou. So you could take the reverb of the MultiFX channels.

No I was wrong. You can route the R1 and 2 to the 8 Outs but I really dont know why Akai did it that way
You need to change the outs of M1 (or M2). The R1 use the same outs as M1 and R2 uses the M2 outs.

Why did they do it that way? the Multi FX already got Reverb so this routing seems a bit stupid. So the FX Board is a 4 channel FX but only got 2 Stereo outs.

Yeah I know you have to assign the effect to the external outputs, but like you can see in my post, Multi FX channels are assignable but not the Reverb channels.

You're the man PeterPiper! I agree it's totally illogical they did it that way. I guess that's why it never crossed my mind to try to assign the R1 channel by assigning the M1 channel

Anyways, I'll try your solution the second I'm back from work.

Guys, I did some more tests and the 8 outputs really sucks on the 2000 classic.

First, the panning of your sounds isn't applied on the outputs. I tried panning a sound all the way left and it was still centered.

Second, if you have sounds that use the Multi FX #1 channel and other sounds that use the Reverb #1 channel, if you redirect the sounds using the MFX #1 on output 1/2, all sounds using R #1 channel will come out the output 1/2 EVEN IF NOT ASSIGNED TO 1/2! (note it happens on any outputs, not just 1/2)

Last, when you assign MFX #1 to any output, channel MFX #2 automaticaly follows. This means you cannot records sounds that use MFX #1 and MFX #2 at the same time on different outputs!

Well, I really wonder why I bought this expansion. I should record each track individually out the main stereo output and this way I won't have to re-pan everything in my computer...

Do you guys think the same thing?
