You can do this with the original operating system of the 60. One sample can be assigned to pads with different start and end points on each pad - still only saved as one sample.
im pretty sure the 60 doesnt have this (non destructive chopping).

?!!!!! How? Is this only on the original OS? OS 2.02? 2.12? Do you have an MKII? because i just got a MKI and i get the feeling im missing some options that were on the MKII.
