Search didn't really help... 4 GB CF's with 2500?

Sorry if it's been discussed many other times before, but I tried searching and didn't really find any helpful info.

What experiences have you people had with CF cards larger than 2 GB? Do they work but get capped at the 2 GB mark? Or do they work to full capacity? Or do they not work at all?

Just wondering, since the local shop ran out of 2 GB's and are selling 4 GB's for pretty cheap.

I have a 4gb SanDisk Ultra II and I had about half a gig of sounds so I just kept copying that same amount till I went past 2gbs and it worked.

I remember a dude on the MPC500 thread tried this with a 16gb and he went passed 8 or 6 gbs or something...

I took the plunge, went ahead and bought the 4GB card (the one they had was that same Sandisk Ultra II you mentioned, by coincidence), and it worked! **** A!

No problem. Its always good to go with the Ultra II or even the Ultra III because they are alot faster.
