y is the 5k hd so slow?

i have the same sounds in both the 4k and 5k and the 4k loads and saves about 4X faster,why?i have the factory hd installed and 128meg,os 2

I thought the 5k load and save would at least match the 4k which I think is still slow. Should be the other way around. Can anyone else confirm this? If this is so it's not the HD's fault since the 5k has a 7200 RPM drive stock. It would be slow no matter what drive you put in.

How embarrassing.

Sounds like Akai needs to optimize there OS? I think most MPC's with a hard drive were slow to access at one point.
