I just listened to your music and it doesn't sound like the complicated mastery you so hype it up to be. I highly doubt you can do good hip hop or rnb after listening to your music. Hip hop or rnb may not have as many drum hits or ethno sounds but it's not how much noise you have in your music , it's how it feels and how it fits together.

If you are such an genius at hip hop or rnb music why arent you making a gazillion dollars making easy, but the best hiphop and rnb music that is known to man. What you don't like money? Yea sure

Why don't you post some of your great hip hop beats since you are so great at them at let us judge your superior than thou claim.

It's just like rock dudes or musicians who have been playing classical music all their life and then trying to do hip hop. And it sucks and sucks hard. Musica isn't just about technical ability but the soul and feeling behind it. If you don't understand why ppl like it or why it makes ppl bob their head then you dont get it and you wont do it right.

I just listened through all your tracks . I listen to Caribbean music and your music has no emotion at all its just the same rhythm tweaked a little throughout the whole song. Those are beats that come on cheap ass casio's as preset songs that we sell here in the states. Step your f***ing game up before you come in here dissing the lifestyle.

Yeah, put that fool in check. Don't come on an MPC forum of all places posturing how easy it is to make hip hop and insulting the art. Many people who have no soul will make these foolish claims on forums of how easy it is. Easy to make a weak hip hop track, sure that is easy. SuperKonquer said it all. If you don't respect the art of the music, of course you can't create a sick track. It's funny all the people who make these snobby claims never have talent.

Firstly i do make money but i dont do this for a living i do it for fun one of those beats sell for a good amount of money in these parts...secondly i never said i was a hip hop master some idiot came dissing me and i was addressing him. as i said before i live in the caribbean hip hop aint our thing but if i tried i know it can't be that hard just listen to those beats that you all claim to be million dallor beats all you need its the right sounds an samples so dont make it seem like you need some devine power to create a awsome hip hop or rnb beat.

For the second poster i dont post the finish product on here i am not that stupid for some pirate to rob my stuff so i just record a sample of what i am doing for the people to hear

it's not the full song just a beat with out the music but the piont is that it's just the mpc 5000 by it self

I'm not hating here so don't get me wrong, but the first track sounded like a remix of a Super Mario theme tune to me.

Actually, it ain't just the sounds-it's the processing of the sounds. You have to know how to treat drums to get truly dope beats. It took me ten years to make my drums thump hard, but that's why I have people wanting to pay for them today. I don't grab loop CDs and chop those wack-ass beats like a lot of producers do. Mine are original and have mass appeal; I ain't braggin' just tellin' you the facts...IT ISN'T EASY to make dope beats. Real cats know a truly dope beat when they hear it and it takes YEARS to develop your own beat production style that every head will like. You don't have a clue what a dope beat is-period. Have you ever used a compressor, as in the RIGHT compressor on your drums? It's a rhetorical question...

LvngDead was not dissing you. His blasphemy comment was rightfully aimed at this statement
Hip hop and RnB beats are simple an easy so they give me no challenge, personally i dont see why people make it seem as if there so hard to create

Thats dissing all Hip Hop producers that work hard on their trade. An insult to the trade and Hip Hop itself. On a forum full of Hip Hop producers for the main tool used for that type of production. What did you expect? You need to keep that in check.

Wow, are you saying Itzhak Pelrman, Issac Stern or Pinchas Zuckerman do not have soul or feeling (let alone the composers who wrote the damn music)? Then you are living in a musical box people. These guys aren't jsut mashing out a few kicks and snares in a 2 measure loop. Wow. The 2 most expressive instruments (when played well) in my opinion are the electric guitar and the violin. And you can add any well regarded jazz players to that list, too.
By b-righteous Thu Mar 19, 2009 8:03 pm
No and none of those you mentioned would come here and say that about someone else's art because they have an appreciation and respect for any good music. No one here disrespected a violin or jazz playeres etc. Only Blackett disrespected Hip Hop and R&B. Only one who has a narrow appreciation for music would say those things. Usually someone without much skill himself. Like I said, whenever I hear those types of snobby comments, the posters music is never up to par to justify the claims.

BTW, We are still waiting to hear those bang'n Hip Hop tracks that are so easy for you master that it isn't even a challenge.

Bwahahaha sorry, I read this post and listened to your tracks Blackett. You and your music remind me of a super muscular weight lifter type with a gyal dem voice. Hahahaha. Your coming off a little extra hard, and when I heard your tracks I started bustin up. Good post. Hahahaha. Soca???

Man... yall can let this $hit go.... the man had an opinion, stated it, thats it... no need for everyone to jump on him about it.

Mods can yall close this whack thread

Opinion is one thing, telling people they make clown music and nowhere as good as the greatness that is sprouted from the posters' loins is another thing. A big f***ing thing. And then post some crappy ass "world music" as an example of how much better it is than hip hop. If you can't jump on someone for that, who the f**ck can you jump on.
