3000, triton midi question

I know how to hook everything up but there is one thing i need to know. Can i be using more than one type of sound on the triton. Like would i be able to record a string track and then record a piano track. Or am i limited to 1.

Im sure you can use more than one.... Most keyboards have some sort of Multi-mode/Mix mode these days. Each instrument will have to be assigned its own midi channel. Record the sequences on seperate midi channels on the MPC. Thats pretty much it.

it may be called multitimbral mode or performancce mode.

Go to program mode, you should have 16 slots for the 16 tracks of midi, under the program tab u select your sounds, under the mix tab you can change their volume and tweak em.

uh, i dont know, im speaking upon the Triton Rack which should be the same, you should see buttons on the right of your board with buttons labeled COMBI - PROG - MULTI - SAMPLING - GLOBAL , I was actually wrong you need to go to MULTI - then hit PROG on your touch screen, then you will see the 16 channels for your different sounds. Now you can go through youre banks and assign different sounds for each midi channel.

Then if you wanted to save ur song, you would save you MULTI on the Trtion, and your SEQ/PGM on the MPC.
