yes that design is way outdated so is all of the other designs, they have not shown a final product pic of the linndrum II nor set a proper date. but given that its roger linn and dave smith it's pretty much a no brainer that it's gonna give AKAI hell hardware samplers in general a run for their money.

especially the mpc 5000 since the linndrum is going to have analog synthesis and not digital like the mpc

Last I read analogue was an option... but who knows.

I'm pretty sure you're right though... linndrum II is likely to be pimpin' in the features department. I just hope we don't see a rehash of patch phrases and hopefully they design in some true time stretch features since Akai isn't really up to the task apparently.

I would say keep making parts for the 60, 3000, 2000, & 4000's. They can keep the new stuff.
