Triple Filter: EQ, EQ+, NOT

Hello. Nowadays I'm **** a lot with this charts and as I don't have computer I'm trying to use my MPC to the fullest. I thought I'll be able to shape the sound with the basic filters ( ) and I haven't tried Triple Filter then. The day before I've tried to set this 3 band EQ. But I have no clue where to start. Some1 can tell me what does EQ, EQ+ and NOT and how does it differ from each other?

If I wanna EQ my sample for example kick from break should I run it trough LPF and then resample it and run through Triple Filter?

Another question is: I've printed frequency chart for MPC and it is functioning in 20Hz - 7kHz. What about higher frequencies than 7kHz?

eq = add freq
not = notch = subtract freq

homie. there is a 3band EQ effect that should work wonderfully when used with the quick fx resample.

So EQ+ is similiar to LP+, HP+ etc. right?

no. lp = low pass filter. hp = high pass filter

EQ adds frequencies
notch removes frequencies

I am able. I was simply asking is EQ+ (I MEAN +) working in similiar way like other +(I MEAN filters with +) so it makes it brighter. You get my point?

you can set up the tripple filter to act as an eq for eq´ing int/out the freq you want in a sample .. just set up the cobination of filters you need/want ... you can also adjust the eq amount by -/+ per layer in zone ... you can get quite alot of post prossessing done via the tripple filter .. the filters are very accurate on the 4k and imo design as tools rather than fx,.. although if needed to, you can achive that aswell... just learn how to use them..set them up & experiment .. you´ll get the hang of it quite quickly.. goodluck!

I was trying to EQ my hi hat and how is this? 'cus MPC 1-100 filters works in range of 21,5Hz - 7kHz. Well I know I could do this by Digital EQ effect but can I do the same by TF?

yhea you can do the same ... it all depends on what you want to do .. just use your ears and your mind.. too bright? use lp .. need to brush off some lo end? through a Hp in there .. need to sub freq? use notch and norrow in on the freq via reso to add to the freq use eq and use reso to boost freq....

rule of thumb ;; its usually always better to cut rather than boost when mixing your sounds ...
