I got the 12" and It's definitely on there. Get the original on SalSoul Records.
I remember KRS One sampling the break for a Ms Melody track back in '90.

yeah thanks for the info, im definitely planning to get the original 12" or 7", but would go for the 7" if it has the break. i assumed the 12" would definitely have it on. I know that some 7"s edit out sections to make the music fit on the format. i guess i should check the timings of the break or see if the 7 has a part 2 on the flip.

also while im talking disco breaks, my album version and my 12" of the brothers johnson "aint we funkin now" dont have the break on - its got loads of slap bass over it , yet im sure the version on ultimate breaks and beats just cuts to the drums. Anyone got any info on that one too?

My album has the drums but I don't think they're as long as UBB. I haven't listened to the UBB series in a while but keep in mind that they "remixed" (extended the break) alot of tracks on there. Also, Mr Lenny (RIP) had mad connections getting some of those UBB tracks (including one of my spots which is where I met him back in the early 80's).
