Metronome click

Hi, got a question about live performance with the MPC500. Is it possible to send just a click track to a live drummer (via headphones) from the MPC, but send the sequences and samples (without the click) to the PA?

I know you could hook up the MIDI out to an external drum machine or fancy metronome, but I was wondering if there's a clever way anybody gets by with just the 500?

No. You're drummer needs listen and feel the rhythm.
Or create a metrome click yourself using a sample. Sample a tambourine or a guitar riff and program it to sync with the ticks. Have your drummer focus on those sounds. If not, hit him in the head with a ratchet.

You could pan the click to the right and send it to the drummers headphones, then pan everything else to the left and send it to the PA. Now you have excellent HiFi mono for your audience

the metronome is dangerously loud in the mpc500..
I would most definitly go for programing your own metronome in the mpc

An extreme method would be to chop everything in perfect proportion to the rhythm of the bpm. Then it'll all be on time and the drummer too.

is there a way though to send the Metronome just[i]to the headphones and not the Main Out? Ive been looking through the manual and all the settings but can find such a setting. i use 2500[/i]

How do you pan the click hard right/left? I can't find where this is possible.

Don't use the metronome. Use your own click sample and pan that.

Even panned hard left it still comes out the right though. I just started a thread about this, any suggestions to fixing it?
