i think this is a unique issue with the 2500 chop shop

i seem to be having issue. when i auto chop a sample using the chopshop, the end product sounds like it's converted to mono. the cuts i'm left with sound nothing like the original sample. this just started happening out of nowhere, and doesn't happen when i manually chop the samples. i could just do everything manually but it's a real **** pain the ass. has anyone else had this problem?

The Akai OS for the 1000 was like this. When you chop it would convert it to mono. Super gay if you ask me. I dont know if the 2500 was set up the same way.

lol. i just did a search for this and apparently this is the norm? i'm a god damn moron. ihow could i not have noticed this before?

Yeah, this is a major reason why the jj is so necessary. then akai comes out with the 5000 years later and it has "chop shop 2.0" what a joke.

That's one of the main reasons I got a 2500. Chopping on the XL took long, especially when you like your chops perfect, like I do!
