sometimes you find shit on youtube that sounds good, so you sample it, whats wrong with that, its no different from sampling from the tv, or any other audio source, vinal will always be the best, but im unemployed right now, like many other people, so i cant afford vinyl, i mean f*ck i can barley afford to eat, so i get my samples from where ever i can get em from, so down on me all you want...

i think this video is a little too innovative to simply be categorized with all the other "youtube digging" type threads.

i don't think the intention is to be "look i can find songs on youtube, who needs vinyl'

he didn't even use songs just random people playing instruments.

the way the actual videos are synched with the beat makes it even more impressive.

I see alot of people saying its tight but sampling from you tube like its a bad thing! Sound is sound is how I feel. I sample from anywhere thats part of technique. I hate to give give away this little secret but when i was little I saw mothra and heard those asian ladies singin and this was before the days of mpc's and I was like I would like to put my own music to that so I eventually brought equipment but 4got through the yrs about that movie it was on cable one day I brought the mp down hooked it up to the output on the cable box and sampled tha s--t outta that movie. To this day I get compliments on that jon.

My point here is it dont matter where u get yo sounds its how u use em and I'm a real east coast nicca been down from the jump off whole 5% movement and all. I use records as well. But if I aint got the time or extra cash for crate diggn I can see myself using utube for free sounds I know the samples aint cleared but when u gotta have it u gotta have it. So keep doin what yall doin man. The records have the advantage though because u sample in sounds at a higher rate of speed. Hookin the turn table up back int the day was like a ritual, but so is hookin anything else up to capture sound. Peace yall.

elitists still claiming u should only use samples, lol so silly again i will quote doom and madlib they grab shit off mostly records but tv, radio none of that shit is off limits any site that has sounds that r usable is a source.

same with oh no sampling computer games it dont matter if u can flip it its all good wherever the inspiration is but we can all agree there is a certain mystique that comes with sampling off records.

i got my lil 150 records stash and love using it but that dont mean thats all i should use I got a drive full of old albums that are dope as **** dont give a toss if its an mp3 shit sounds good enuff.

on topic? are you serious?

you havnt once commented on the original post - youve just whacked off about justifying youtube sampling and how people who say otherwise are dicks.

stop talking like a 12 year old, half your text makes little to no sense.

oh, and i changed the thread name.... just for YOU!!

I actually think this is a bad thing, no where does the guy give credit to the original videos. He gets mad exposure on the works of others.... I know we all sample, but at least we give the credit where due.
