pre 2xl beat

Hello fellow JJites I been a member for a while and finally mustered the courage to put one of my beats online. partly because I thinks its decent and partly to give back because this forum has taught me so much and been the source of lots of inspiration for me. Thanks everyone check it out feedback welcome.

FYI the scratch samples in this beat is no longer working in 2xl, im pissed cause I cant remember which version I built it in. anyone have a similar experience?

Do I get a player pass?

besides I do have a legitimate question, when you upgraded to os2xl did you have compatibility problems with previously saved songs? in my case i used qlink sliders to adjust the sound of a scratch sample but when I loaded the song with os2xl (months later) it sounds like crap. cant seem to get the original sound.

the base loop is cool, overall after a while abit too repetitive....

Thanks for taking the time to listen, I know what I have to work on. One of my problems is that im an MC making beats and sometimes I make the beat to the point I can rap to it then I stop making the beat and start writing lyrics!! So I dont end up putting the time needed to build my programs and get really ill samples. It just feels good to at least share and interface with other beat makers, I like this forum alot much respect to everyone on it. Im no K West yet but im having fun and im better than I was when I started and that's motivation to keep going and progress.

Keep going my man. Sounds different. I really like the strings. Plus the way you overlap the vocal samples...

it's alright... but your levels are all f'd up. You need to do a better mix at least. Drums in my mind are too much. Gave up half way through cuz I was waiting for a change up or something different. I'd roll of the the low end of your main sample and get some better bass in there. Also don't be afraid of 16-levels tune or something to make a few more melodic sections.

keep it up though. you're further than a lot of people posting on these boards

The thing goes blank when I try to click on the play button. Internet Explorer 8 is super lame.

Actually the interface on the site is super lame. You need to click all over the place to get it to play. When you click the play button on the song it creates a playlist on the right side of your screen instead of playing it.
