I found an old Electribe and it has some descent sounds in it that i wouldnt mind sampling...How can i get the sounds off of it and into the MPC 2000....Midi cables? or the same cables used to sample from Turntables?

To sample the electribe put the audio outs into your MPC inputs and go to the sample screen. Though a better way you can utilize it in your compositions is with MIDI cables. Put a MIDI cable from the MIDI out of your MPC to the MIDI in of the electribe. In your main screen when you want to add an electribe part (max. 2) change DRUM to MIDI and select the channel (1A & 2A). Make sure the audio outputs of both machines are going to a mixer or somewhere they will both be heard (audio interface). You can put a keyboard MIDI out to the MPC MIDI in if you want to play scales and stuff, or you can just use the one MIDI cable and play on the pads on the MPC. Add a MIDI cable from the electribe out to MPC in to sequence from the pads on either machine. To change the MIDI channel of your 2 electribe parts press the MIDI button (far right bottom menu button) and use the wheel to change the number to 1 or 2, arrow down for the second part and change it's number as well. Press the far left bottom menu button to return to your patch editing and start messing around with the knobs. Have fun!
