MPC 500 1.30+ OS Wish List

I would like to see the ability to alter pan position in the step editor. That, at the moment, is a real bug-bear for me - having to use three or four of the same sample, panned at different positions, isn't really cool.

I don't ask for much...Lol, but it would be great to, when in trim mode, have a pad that played the sample from the last 25%! Because when setting the trim end point in a long sample it takes too long to reach the end and ear if it's OK or not!

@robthom I love you (in a musical way)! I guess I've tried that before but didn't know that, for that pad to work, the trim end point had to be selected (I thought that sholdn't matter,lol)!

Your right, you do have to select trim end first. I still get twisted up by that sometimes when I'm in a groove.

* 12-Level tuning following a dorian/aeolian/mixolydian mode instead of chromatic...... (would be easy to do and SO useful)

*Ability to use more than one octave in 12-level. Could be achieved using pad bank buttons ABCD.

keep that sucker COMPILED.

the random in-the-thread entries are great but Do you really expect anyone from Akai to comb through the thread to locate the (often great) requests here?

keep the Entire List going gents (and gentettes if so) so that the last version of it is the most complete version.

Take a look at the first post, that was what I had in mind that we should do here.

this thread should definitely be a sticky

unless i'm mistaken that 5000 thread is splintered in a similar way to our 500 thread as it progresses though.

maybe the solution is two threads: one to casually pitch requests / talk things over and another (sticky) that is the 'actual list' which serious users will (hopefully) keep updated with their Official Requests.

again: the goal is to have one Very Easy To Find And Read want list.
