Hi again peeps. I've been listening to a lot of dubstep lately, and I really want to incorporate that fat, wobbly bass in my tunes. The problem is that I can't afford a synth yet, so I'm stuck with the MPC 1000 for a while.

It would also be great if anyone had some input on creating instrument programs based off single waveforms, as I often find these more flexible and expressive than those based on longer samples.

use both short wav samples and longer samples stacked - harder on your polyphony but it gives a broader character to your basslines

also use AFTERTOUCH => lowpass filter heavily.
