RECORDING SYNTH PROGRAM CHANGES TO SEQUENCE

Just buy MPC 5000. and i can't find in manual how to record synth program changes to sequence.

i want to record LFO sync changes in synth program to get wobble bass effect. also i wanna know how to record synth cutoff changes to sequence.

please help

but what i want to do is to change lfo sync time during one sequence. i found another way to get this effect, by just siply copy synth program with new parameters. but i rather have 1 synth program in place of 6

unfortunatly this can't be done
for me this is the reason why the synth is almost unuseable (not enough parameters to automate)
not possible to change the wobble on a 2000 euro machine
well, it seems MPC is made for Hiphoppers who don't do more then sample a record and write very simple midi sequences...too bad for techno/dubstep people who need more automation/more intense programming

i am using a lot of external synth's and each one can do those things without any problem.

it will be cool to have a possibility of add each synt parameter in Q-link mode, not only global things like cutoff or attack ect.

to be honest i was shocked that i am not able to do it.

you're right

however note that you would be able to change any parameter of an external synth via the q-links
(but I was looking for a 'in one box' solution also and I'm sorry, for this amount of money some basic things like these should really be in there)
seems like we still have to use external synths together with MPC to get what we want...

Or use the same program with different LFO settings and include Program Changes in your sequence (like you suggested).
But also here, I assume 99 programs is more then enough for the Hiphoppers creating a beat with 5 different sounds , but for more intesive use (read : live sets) 99 programs is rather low.

I understand your pain boys. As a synthfreak I have the same feelings about this. Only cutoff and 2 other parameters make the synthwork stuck in the 90s. But the most easy work around seems to record the changes manually on an audio track or to record different lfo speeds as different samples.

Did anyone feature request this yet?
