Hello... I'm not sure if you guys may be able to answer me on this.. I just bought some KRK rp6 powered studio monitors. Now I want to plug them on my PC! I dont have a mixer, so i'm wondering how to do it. I know people say I can get a twin 1/4 to single 1/8 cable to plug it directly in my PC audio but no one convinced me that this was a good way to do it. My sound card is an external soundblaster audigy.. I also have an SPDIF in and out on my external sound card... Can studio monitors be plugged on that ?? If anyone can help me ?

Thanks
Greem

Yeah i always wanted a mixer.. but my set up is pretty complicated.. I use reason as sound mods.. So if I buy a usb mixer, does the PC detect it as a soundcard ? cuz I use my PC alot, i'm software more than hardware!

LOl ofc it would be detected as a soundcard.. if its a usb mixer the mixer already has a soundcard built in.. i used to have one.. and i dont recommend it..

If i were u i would only buy a soundcard with more than 4 in and outs cause if MPC is your only hardware, u wont be using the mixer much. + reason already have a mixer so u can controll the volume, Eq and stuff there.
Look for M-audio Delta 44 or something. Im not sure if the M audio has a midi inn and out though..

Im not saying that u shouldnt buy a mixer, im letting u know that u can save some extra bucks;)
