CONNECTING MPC TO GARAGEBAND MAC

hey im new to the forums, and i had a question. if it is possible to hook an mpc1000 to mac and run it through garageband?? if so do i need any hardware or programs to run??

1. Yes you can.

2. Other than a digital interface... it's all you need.

Garage Band> digital interface> MPC.

The next biggest step is to read allot. The MPC manual and the GB manual.

theres no way to sync tempo over midi tho. so youre stuck moving tracks around to line them up. but if you stay at the same tempo you should be ok

ok thanks, i was trying to see if i could just record straight from the mpc to garage band..so all i need is an interface??

Other than the software config. that should be it.

There is an audio Units plugin called "Midio" that you can use to sync to your mpc. I think that Garageband has to be the master though.
