did you try to unplugg the black connector ( the one for the screen ) and try booting ?

When I fitted a new backlight a couple of days ago on my 3K, the backlight was not aligned 100% so I pushed it a bit while it was turned on and managed to blow 2 of those fuses. F3 & F4 I think
When this happened all the text on the screen vanished.
The replacement is a glass fuse
UK250V T630mA
US 120V T630mA
I paid £2 for 10.
Problem fixed

When I first installed the el foil it did not work
I got it from midi.......
The 2 connectors are to short, I thought it would of been ok to soldier it on top of the circuit board. next to where the 5V leads are.
Anyway I made some wires up to extend and soldier underneath then it worked
Also I noticed the high pitch whine everyone talks about, however it was coming from the el foil not the inverter
The el foil was vibrating as it was not quite as thick as the original so I wedged something behind the new one, problem solved

yuhuu My MPC works perfect and the backlight does too! just with the new fuse.
