Ok this is my situation, i'm gonna streamline chronologicaly.

1. got mpc 1000 w/akai os-and old pads,
2. bought jjos 499 installed and alls well
3. pads start giving me trigger problems, classic old akai pad missfires etc...
4. I take my 1000 to VST akai repair in pasadena I get the pad upgrade and have them install it
5. I get the mpc home and it's buggin out (pad firing wise) (velocity wise) I try to get it to work
for several days and can't get it to act right.
6. I take it back to VST because it wasn't buggin this much before the upgrade
7.they call me back after trying to fix it and the nightmare unfolds, this is what they say.

they've never seen anything like it before
they can't get it to work right with jjs os
they have never seen any other 1000 bugout after a pad upgrade like this
they changed the cpu, they changed the board, still it wouldn't work right with jjos

it will work with jjos and old pads
it will work with new pad upgrade and akais os
it will not work right with jjos and new pad upgrade

I'm going to email jj about this but does anyone have any light to shed on this?
the cats at Vst have been great and our trying to help as much as possible.

Hey folks!

I had a similar problem this night.

I purchased the JJ OS1. It worked flawless. It loads it saves, it works...

Then I purchased OS2 password which Im waiting for... But I installed Os2 while I wait for the password, and when I try it, it fails every time I try to load a Kick drum. I load the program, and when I touch ANy pad, it begins repeating the kick at 1/16 @ 120bpms...

What tha **** is this? Anyone have seen anything similar?

Excuse me my poor language, Im from Spain and I only speak a little english because of the amount of operating manuals I've read in my whole life...

I dont know if i explained it very well.

The problem is that i cant touch any pad with a kick drum assigned in, because the MPC begins kickin and kickin...

I tried to touch the sensitivity settings, and any setting in the machine, but it doesnt work. When i call a Hihat program, it works, but with kicks it repeats and repeats...

I expect somone can give me a solution? Is the Os2 that I downloaded wrecked?

shit! i reloaded and reinstalled the os1, and then downloaded and installed os2, and put the password, but i t coontinue kickin and kickin...

It only does it with certain kicks, but only kicks, and from different programs as well...

i dont understand it! have I screwed my mpc or what?

Do you have the program saved with the kicks set to loop if you hold the pad down?
