Ok im gonna expierment with both but should i record midi out midi in to my comp would that soudns better than usign the outputs to my mobile pre amp. which way sounds better midi or main outs i dont got a mixer right now damn. im gonan try both and then try to do the mix down like that future producers tutorial.

Hey what's good man....
MIDI isn't used for actual audio recording, it's just used to transmit note information to other equipment such as when and what to play...but no actual audio is transmitted, so you can't really record from the MIDI out....You can however sync the MPC by MIDI to a computer program such as Cubase SX so that the program starts recording the same time as the MPC starts playback, but you'll have to hook up the MPC to the computer via the Stereo Outs, Digital Out, or the Assignable Outs to actually record sound....As to which one is better....I just record from the Digital Out into Soundforge so I can't speak on the others....but the Digital Option sounds real clean and nice, you might lose just a little of the bottom end...just a little but nuthin big....peace
