MPC2500, Dead LEFT output?

Hello all... Long time reader, first time poster. I believe this is the right section, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

I just got a (used) MPC2500. LOVE this thing... But I'm having problems with the left stereo out. Both the LEFT out in the rear of the unit and the left side of the headphone jack are not playing sounds, even if I pan a sound to the left.

I read a bunch of other post, one by Xibalba and a few others. In my case, both the left side of the headphone and the rear left are both nonfunctional. I think I got a bad MP, but I'm not sure if I've tried everything, since I just got it and I've never used it before today.

Any ideas? Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

P.S. - Not sure if this helps, but I've tried (briefley) the AKAI OS, and it now has JJOS 2XL on it. Same problem exists with both operating systems. Also, this is happening with stereo samples, as well as mono.

yea dog ur gonna have to replace the input all together

I don't mind replacing the input, or even BOTH the inputs... My concern is that, since it's both the LEFT output as well as the left side of the ST HEADPHONE output, maybe the problem is bigger than just the jacks themselves. I definitely don't want to have to replace the whole PCB.

I've read posts by other people on here who had a similar problem. Anybody want to chime in and let me know how they fixed it? I didn't read anything in the way of an actual fix.

If I can't figure the problem out by Monday or Tuesday, I'm gonna have to return it (and I REALLY want to avoid having to do that).

If you are able to return it, do it and get a working one. Seems the easiest thing to do in such a case.

So... The store I bought it from decided to service my MPC free of charge. Strangest thing... I expected them to at least make me purchase a warranty after the fact.

This place is in Virginia. If it was here in New York I would have been screwed. Gotta love southerners.
