Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

What am i supposed to do with the cd-rom and the floppy disk that came with the mpc2000xl?

2. Is the floppy disk blank, and do I have to load the sounds onto it from the cd-rom?

PLEASE HELP!!! I am ready to make beats and I am confused about this entire zip drive issue!

the floppy has a drum kit on it & the cd has a few different mpc sound libraries. apparently every time they put out a new model mpc they made drum kits for them. for the most part none of that shit is any good & you'd be better off making your own drums from vinyl/cd

i think the manual is written assuming that the user has a cd rom & can use the included cd to follow along. if you dont have a cd rom dont sweat it. just use common sense & apply the instructions to the floppy. if you bought your mpc with internal zip then i dont know what to tell ya!

what confusing you about zip drives?

What do u mean u don't know what to tell me because I have the mpc with zip drive?

Every time I follow the steps in the manual to load sounds into the mpc it says something like copy writed cannot process or something of the sort?[/b]

cuz i dont have internal zip so i dont know how that works. basically if you have internal zip & no cd rom its prolly gonna be hard to follow along in the manual.

i've never seen that copywrite error. sorry
