well, since the lfo isnt free running, in essence it is synced to tempo. somehow i doubt that youll be triggering notes long enough to matter. you might as well try to get it as close as you can.

its synced already, a rate value of 01:00 will give one bar measure, 00:24 = 1/16th etc. there's no free running at all - yet.

yeah it's applied at voice-on. so, its always retriggered, and...it's non-automate-able.

Automatable phase (just a on/off 180deg or invert) would also be awesome. Sometimes it's nice to have it starting one way, sometimes the other.

^^^ Sounds like you've done a butload of chops on the same sample, some very very short, others longer, reversed others and maybe used ping pong loop. Set note on, polyphonic and loop to on and added some release, then lashings of delay. How many pads you using there? I suppose another way to do it would be to use qlink->sample end, then do chops or velocity->sample start as well then 16levels.

you can use the qlink to tempo function to alter the rate of the lfo in real time, although you change the tempo of evrything else with it. if you mute everything else and re-sample you can create some one shot samples which contain lfo changes.

its easy guys... just retrigger your sample as fast as your lil ol mpc will let you, and set your q-link slider to sample start. play with envelopes until it sounds right. you should also make the sample poly, and it will take up all of your polyphony while you do it. but at least its live.
neat huh? you should be able to do the trick on any sampler that allows you to modulate the sample start point. its just too bad there isnt a decent resolution. like if we could use pitch bend rather than midi continuous controllers.
