im sure if i think long and hard i can figure it out but maybe somebody will be kind enough to help me...i chopped a drum break and each beat is 92.0 bpm. if i wanted to split a beat in two (1/8ths notes) but they arent exactly on beat, like say the hihat is off. can i just stretch each one to half of 92.0 bpm so that both notes together play at 92.0 bpm?

make sense?

i think you would have to stretch it to double of 92.0 so it would be at 184.0. that way your telling it that 8th notes are really single beats. then you can stretch both of the 8th note chops to 184 and they will be 8th notes in 92.0. that should be right. and you should be able to get away w only stretching one of the chops. i would just stretch whichever one was shorter cuz thats the one thats ganna make u sound gappy.

i hope u can understand what im talkin about, let me kno if it works

i didnt end up stretching anything. it ended up sounding dope without the time stretch. a bit of that nice swing to it. but i do believe you're correct.

i'm positive i'll use that down the line though. thanks man.
