Me too, but I personally like to start with everything perfectly lined up and nudge from there and always be able to go back to the original!

This is how I do it in SX2...

For starters you need to assign your left and right arrow keys to nudge parts left and right, which is fairly straight forward. Then right click on the tape measure timeline and change from 'Bars + Beats' to 'Seconds'. The small 'Grid Type' window towards the top of the screen then changes from either 'Bar', 'Beat' or 'Use Quantize', to '1000ms', with the drop down menu giving the option of 100ms, 10ms and 1ms. Select whatever option you want, highlight a part to be nudged and then hit the left or right arrow until the timing is corrected. For a 1ms nudge it's best to zoom in so you can see what's happening.
