Can oyu transfer a seq. from your mpc to the comp. using usb

hi i was just wounderin why my computer will reconize and play all of the sounds a samples on my mpc but when i go to click on my sequence in will tell me that it's can not read that type of file. i don't have the wire to record either so what can or should i do? Thanks

the .seq is midi for the mpc, so the comp won't recognize it, you could either save it as a midi file or resample the whole song as a wav and then transfer it.

Saving as MIDI file works. But you still need to load it up in your sequencer, assign sounds with soft synths of samplers etc.

(You can't recreate the whole track - samples and all - inside the PC without a soft sampler and a lot of work, so I won't be bothering, I'll just let the MPC1000 do what it's good at!)
