jj os 2 analog style sequencing for midi

is there a way in loop edit mode or something like this to edit the midi note value while a loop is running, possibly with the q link slider to make this like an analog style sequencer? or like the piano roll in cubase where you can select the notes of the running sequence and move them around? im using jj os 2 after using jj os 1 for a while and hoping this feature was added since there have been so many other sequencer improvements and it is just a matter of finding the key combination to unlock it (fingers crossed).

that pc sequencer software may be just the trick if it allows mouse click movement of the notes while the sequence is running..

not sure what exactly you are meaning but have you looked at the PtrnEDIT function? with overdub+sequencer running you can then hit different pads to get access to the different notes, and input values on 1/16ths - this can output to midi

not sure if i understand you right, but on os2 on the 2500, if you're in grid edit, and hit window, it will take you to a screen where you can move your notes around within the grid while the sequence is playing and loop (by bar).

so if you have say, a drum hit that is slightly off in bar 3, while the sequence is playing in grid edit, you bar over to bar 3, hit the pad that contains the sound that is slightly off, and you'll see the option to adjust the timing +/- where it actually is to a point. you can also adjust velocity and other shit here.

this works great for drums and for sequencing chopped samples.
