Everything looks and works fine, i'm just getting alot of hissing when try to sample in

I have one of those numark portable turntable running to a Phono amp, then i have that into the mpc..

When i do this, i picks up the sound from the turntable, plus alot of cloudy hiss noise?

I turned all MPC Record gain down, but i could still hear the hiss in the background of the sample which sucks??

Im positive the turntable and amp are all good, is it something im doing wrong?

Okay so it sounds great when sampling from my pc..

i was running the rca through a phono amp,

you thinks that my problem? should i try running the turntable straight into the mp?y

i dont really know...? because when i sample vinyl to my pc via usb its crystal clear?

well record the long takes onto your pc, and then from the pc (where your big hard drive is) you can sample to the mpc...

sounds like you might have a preamp or ground problem.

Numark is line level. Plug it into a line. not phono.

or direct into the mp with 1/4" to rca cables

if its the pt-01,
it comes w/ a built in preamp so you bought a preamp that you didnt much need.

Just connect it directly to the mpc via RCA to RCA w/ 1/4" adapters or RCA to dual Mono 1/4".

It helps to know what you need to buy and know what your buying.

There are TT's w/ built in preamps.
