I'm new here. In fact this is my first post. I own an Akai S950, not an MPC, although I would like to get an MPC60 someday. Anyway... as most of you know.... the 950 is a great sampler for gritty, hard hitting percussion. That's what I use mine for.
Ever since I received my 950 the backlight has been dead. I've done countless internet searches for a replacement and never came up with anything. I'm thrilled about the thread I just found on here by Stilo about replacing the light. Thank you! I never could find a source. What's more is the great pictures that go along with your tutorial! I'm pretty good with a soldering iron but I was very unsure of how to crack everything open. Now I know. Just wanted to say hello and give a small introduction to the forum.
