thats awesome guys thanks alot!!!

first day shopping today, (my back is killing me - note to self bring comfier record bag next time!)

bought the record map as suggested...its a beauty...even though all in japanese, its worth the money (£15) just for the map highlighting where the 20 or so major shops in shibuya are)

so basically (woke up late) only got through the hip hop section of disk union today, whilst my brother scoured the jazz floor, he assured me there were some good bargains there. I would say the hip hop was ok, but I dont think you'll find a bargain there, but if you're prepared to pay £10-15+ for a rare record you'll find it here.

other pick ups of interest which I dont think you can get back home...

- Sampling dictionary - book of every famous hip hop track and what tunes it sampled (about £20)
- Goldfingers Kitchen 2008 DVD - Japanese MPC live beatmaking battle

keep the great advice coming, still got a week!
peace!

what I really expected to find was MPC accessories like modded face plates etc....thought they'd be pretty popular here! If anyone has the lowdown...let me know!!!

thx
