Crackle at odd moments on drums

I remember an old thread here attributed such behavior to faulty ram.

It's strange, I had a "Fatal System Error!!!!" last week and since then it works again. No more crackling. I don't have a clue at all.

now that you said this, it does sounds like ram thats not seated correctly

Cables or connections man. My headphone jack is sort of "special" in the fact that I have to ensure that Its rotated a proper way otherwise I'll get some crazy crackling. My OUT's are fine, but if I bump my headphone jack it'll do exactly that. Crackle like some cereal.

you should get those re-soldered.

oh and i suppose it could be loose cable somewhere... not necessarily ram.

Yo, I put some samples to my mpc from the pc yesterday. And then the crackling came back. When I plugged out the USB cable it was gone. That was the problem. Funny shit.
