We'll open the flood gates soon and post new music.... Our myspace hasnt been updated since streetboxx 4 years ago its long overdue for an update.... Its really low priority for us right now.

So any info yet on a releasedate, and maybe what kind of sample engine you guys are using (could be I missed this with all the great photoshops, you guys should hire one of those guys man  )

BETAKANGZ wrote:I would be interested to see what you are creating with your 4 midi outs, 8 outputs and Q links.....

Have you heard Tha one about the guy who needed 4 midi out to make a beat with 5 samples in it he got from some one elses record? It's a real knee slapper!

jbraudio wrote:What does any of this have to do with quality music? Do you mean we are crazy for not wanting you use YOUR samples as opposed to someone else's?

The Beta Kangz comment about 4 midi outs is in reference to a comment I made months ago at Future Producers. When the Beta Thang was first announced they claimed it to be a "MPC killa". I stated it couldn't be because it only has one midi out and 16 tracks.(this is before I realized there are 8 sub tracks inside the main tracks). Fast forward 3 months later and this is all they can come up with to throw at me. Anyway Beta Kangz don't worry to much about the photoshop stuff since it only takes a few minutes to do. Also, don't call me a hater because I believe your product is cool but, your attitude towards your prospective customers sucks.

Now we are the ones spewing hate  You're right, you didnt start the thread but you definitely came in here talking awful wreckless and putting out videos to. Go back to the earlier pages, talking about kicking peoples asses, dissing Linn and other companies...challenging other artists.... on beats. You cant try to come across like yall don’t deserve the flaming...Had the approach been about the product and less about the sh*t talking I know I would have definitely been interested in the machine. See although we are not "known" producers you still are at the mercy of the dollars that determine whether or not your product is a hit or a flop. The beat kang approach may have been "real" for hip hop but a poor business choice. Still tho, I don’t wish yall failure but I personally don’t like when people talk down us like peasants so I wont be giving any money to the kangs....

With that said tho, I still would like to see some specs on the machine.

In fairness to the Kangz, they have posted their 'estimated' specs a few times in this thread, and discussed the possibility of upgrading the sequencer resolution, opening the OS for further development, and other such things. It's just all been lost in the negativity and piss taking!

I never said they didnt release ANY specs. they have released a bunch, but I noticed a few questions such as ones pertaining to the sampling capabilities go unanswered for a while now. and on their site it stated that they were keeping things a secret because of sleezy competition  . I also sent them a PM a while ago and never got a reply. And regardless of the fact...the negativity took a turn for the worst when they decided to start blasting away at anyone who wasnt on the bandwagon.

beat thang is more comparable to mpc1000, not the 5k.

I here you. Thing is I won't be buying a Beat Thang new either. The way the Beat Kangz act I would be a fool to give them a sale. The Beat Thangs will end up used on eBay soon enough and that's when I will jump.

:D

Very cool product. I work at a GC and would love to see the Beat Thang on the shelf. However, after reading some of the posts, the Beat Kangs need some marketing skills and anger management counseling. This product may be an "MPC Killa" but their attitude towards other peoples ideas and products me not want to give them my money. If I had a product like this - and if I was on an MPC forum - I would be informing folks how my new product can easily integrate with any MPC.

2 things

1. Not a smart idea to try to kill the MPC line on an MPC forum.

2. The main thing is we would just like more info on the product.

Thats whats up

I won't even jump then.

I've seen how many times they have blasted people and called them haters for having questions about the vapor machine.

They come off as jerk and assholes.

So, they gets none of my money.
