multitrack recorder

What dose multitrack recorder do ???

records multiple tracks.

what can do i how do i use it i always keep it on S

its like a mixer and recorder in one, back before pro tools and portastudios, cats would have a 20 channel mixing board with lets say the first 16 channels for the instruments or in our case the MPC outs, then the remaing 4 channels for playback of whats been recorded from say a 4 track reel to reel.

a multitrack recorder is this all in one package.
