I admire his enthusiasm...9th used to be one of favorites, but I've got to be honest when I say that he's not doing anything that alot of us here don't do on a daily basis. How much he will get paid for a beat that any of us could make because of his name makes me go HHMMMMmmm...a shame indeed, but more power to him I guess.

Hey, the good thing is that it can happen to anyone here as well though. To me that's awsome!
It is funny though, that if you manage to get a big name for yourself it changes people's perspectives on your work. All of a sudden your work seems to become more dynamic for better or for worse, when in reality it's just the same stuff you've always been doing.

True... Very True

I do feel like some of us here are right there with him or just a few steps behind as far as skill level goes.

Same here ^^^ Don't get me wrong, his work with Murs is great and I still dig the Listening and Minstrel Show, I just really feel he's not doing anything special in this video.

I rarely like to voice opinion on other people's work, but 9th is so blah. He's nothing special. I personally can't stand how his chops abruptly cut each other off in his sequencing. They just seem so random and don't flow nicely into each other. Some of his music is nice though.

I think it is SERATO, I hooked up my 2500 to it one day just messin around and queing up tracks, But my DUMB @$$ never thought about triggering samples and having full access to my samples  . I am going to create a folder in SERATO and drag all of my MPC SAMPLES to it and that will give me instant access to all of my samples  , just drag-n-drop NO MORE LOADING FROM THE HARD DRIVE. SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( I need to mess with my equipment more). :D

This will show you how it basically works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMqjb5zxjyA

this doesnt mean anything. some here are greater than many producers that are out there..

its just that we think these guys are life times ahead of us. they are regular people who make dope beats
