There are so many cheap laptop cd-burner out there.. I really think 200$ is to much for the akai one!

Is there someone that are using a cheap unoriginal cd burner and have it work? Is it possible?

Thanks

The CDM-25 is a CD burner and also a DVD Rom reader:
1. Burns audio and data CDs
2. Sample directly from audio CDs
3. Load commercial sample libraries on both CD and DVD (your computer can’t read legacy Akai format on CD or DVD without software)

#3 is most important for me.

Why don't one of u guys give the info (specs) on the
Cd-m25,I've checked a site that might carry campatible
Drives for the 5k,the cheapest being $29-$129.

If know one can get the specs, then I'll ask a friend who works for GC store, I need to get a cd-drive.I'm not paying $230 for a drive.
