MPC 1000 and Cubase Studio 4

Hello MPC world.
I am experience a technical breakdown.
I have an MPC 1000
I have Cubase Studio 4
I have an MBox
I also have M-Audio Uno MIDI connector
I can not seem to understand how to get it so i can record straight into cubase or to use the vst instruments
If anyway is willing to assist me it would be much appreciated

if you have your gear wired correctly. you should need to set cubase to slave mtc to the mpc. then set your active track to corrispond to the midi ch your working with in the mpc. assign the vst to that track in cubase and it will trigger with the mpc. hope this makes sense. im going off memory here.
