People Hating on Firmware 1.20

What's the best firmware for the mpc 2000xl?

I noticed some people hate on 1.20 and I'm wondering why.

Your thoughts?

depends on how your machine is set up... unless you have a compact flash reader in your xl, then dont use the v1.2 ... if you have floppy or zip then use v1.14.

if you use zip and have v1.2... apparently it can cause problems.

I use 1.14c for my SCSI card reader and internal hard drive and everything works fine.
I tried OS 1.2 but I couldn't format my HD into seperate partitions A-J. So I went back to OS 1.14 to do this.
Seems like Akai forgot to add this feature in 1.2.

I sent akais tech dept an email and they said "DO NOT use the 1.2 OS if you dont have a cf reader." I dont know why, but Ill listen to the tech.

I'm waiting for my CF reader to arrive. I still plan on using my scsi zip drive too. I'm just trying to hear specifics on the problems with 1.20. Thanks for the HDD partition info.
