What do you Bang out on your 500?

I love Hip Hop.
I love Breaks.
I love Jungle.
I love D & B.
I love Minimal.
I love House.
I hate Country.

I'm bustin out the first 6 on my 500 (Jungle is some challenging shnizzle). I'm finding the unit rather versatile, and each day brings new joys. I will definately be upgrading in the future, but keeping my 500 as the Road-Inspiration machine.

I'm sure Hip Hop is the #1 choice for the majority of the 500 users, but was wondering if anybody else is tackling other genres like myself?

Hip Hop all day...

Really I'm into Hip-Hop and I keep Hip-Hop in mind when I sit down with the 500. But most of the time I end up creating some crazy instrumentals that you can't even rhyme on. It becomes this abstract piece that I wasn't even focused on, but sounds dope anyway.

mainly hip hop and r&B stuff...iv done some raggae joints also..
tried rock and other genres as well..but they always come out soundin like a hip hop mash up of some soft haha..
i just got that "boom bap" state of mind..never make a beat without a nasty kick and a HARD hittin clap or snare

strickly hiphop/rap whatever ya call it,,in my day it was rap...but i always find something odd to incorperate into it..

I've done house tracks on the 500 before, but really -- Reason is better suited for house and drum and bass in my opinion.

Glitch, electronic, and ambient mostly. Stuff like Four Tet, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Venetian Snares etc. Strictly no hip-hop. I listen to hip-hop music (I worship The RZA like you wouldn't believe!) but I have no desire to replicate it. Most of the hip-hop stuff that is out today is utter sh** and I really wouldn't want to contribute to that.

I don't 'do' sampling in the traditional sense, not often at least. If there's a nice hit on a record that I can use, I will do, but I don't go farming vinyl for breaks. 99% of what I use is material that I have cooked up myself; lots of organic sounds.

Lately been fooling around trying to make hiphop but it's definately harder than it seems.

Come to think of it: most of the music is harder than it seems.

The last 2 weeks it has been like a DAW for me to sample and sequence a bunch of my (and my players') instruments. And of course I love to chop a good sample to pieces.

Hip Hop A.D.E.D., but I've actually made a couple, (not completly done yet) but of some "the cool kids" type shit. like off the wall stuff. but 100%hip hop on the 500...

Maybe.... but I happen to like hitting buttons. Beating the keys on my laptop doesn't give me the same satisfaction ;p

I also do Drones.

With some dirty samples I recorded from old drums and classic drum machines I create beats for garage rock songs. It gives me that really slick 1979 sound.
