Im currently on the travel right now with just my mpc & laptop.
I did'nt make in time to sample some records before I left, But I managed to download the records I bought.
The only dilemma is that these are in mp3 format and I need to convert them to wavs.
Are there any high quality mp3 to wav converters you can recomend me?
I know the sonic quality will be bader on a mp3 than a LP since its in 128 kps mp3 but will the wav sound worst then the mp3?

I'm not much on computer programs but I use a good 1/8th in to 2 1/4 cable and sample on the MPC for things like that.

ditto on switch pay the ten bucks its worth it

Converting a mp3 to wav will not make the quality better, so it does not really matter wich converter you use.

No, the resulting WAV file won't sound any worse than the MP3. It will sound just the same.

aight, thanks 4 helping me out... just noticed that I forgot my power adapter home, so I'm left with only using batteries..

sampling directly from the pc to mpc with a cables feel more direct, no hassle with usb connection and all that but feels more what I would do when Im home in my studio..

So any mp3-to-wav converters will do the job?

yeah definitely use Switch. you can get a fully-functioning free trial.
or record into mpc from headphone jack

but what i would do (and i usually do this at home even) is open up your mp3's in Audacity. then do whatever you want to them, (chop, eq, compress, reverb, whatever), and just export them as wav's.

well you got a laptop, so go to www.media-convert.com/convert

convert your mp3 to wav files, you can also use it to download off youtube but thats probably another thread. pm me if u want more info
