it always happens when I slice a sample i cant use the original full sample because i create a new program and i dont know how to assign the original sample back to pad.

This may sound dumb.... But are you assigning the original to a pad before you slice it?

So after it's sliced,you're opening the sliced sample,naming it,then assigning it?
