problems reading files on a 250mb zip disk (PC formatted)

Hi, I am having problems reading files on a 250mb zip disk (PC formatted) from my mpc2000xl. I can read files saved by the MPC on the MPC and I can read PC saved files on my PC, but the MPC cannot see PC saved files. Please advice me on the proper way to format the ZIP I have tried FAT,FAT32 and NTFS and it’s the same story. My pc is running Microsoft VISTA (32 BIT).

Sounds like either your sounds are not 16/44.1 KHZ or your names for your sounds are over 8 characters.
SOunds like you need to use MPC Editor this will take care of your troubles.

any other solutions ? How can i get a full working version of MPC editor and also how do i format using MPC editor, the option to format seems to be unavailabel on the trial i downloaded. thanks

Is this true? I had xp and the format option was there with the trial, Since then I have installed vista and the option to format is gone, all the disk management options are grayed out. If it truly will work I will happily purchase it, but if your speculating then that wont help. In the instruction file it states that it only formats on XP. So was it a fluke when I installed on xp that it let me use the format option, and I really do need to register to do that on Vista?
