Two to be exact and the only memory I have is what came with the machine (16mb and a 32mb card0. Now what should I do.

a) Buy the 128mb memory expansion
b) Get a couple 128mb cards (Help me out with a good brand and where to got).
c) or do both (a) and (b)

Let me know

If your samples are drums, the 16mb + 32mb is still very usable to begin with.

The 128mb will definitely help load lots of longer samples, or more programs at once. Plenty of threads on this board about which memory (off-the-shelf) to buy. So save yourself $60, and don't buy the akai stuff.

Then, use the $60 to buy at least (1) 128MB card. Though 256 and even 512 are cheap these days.

Having the larger SRAM is useless without the CF card, so go for the CF card first.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET MEMORY CARDS GET FUJIFILM COMPACT FLASH CARDS. i E-MAILED AKAI AND THEY TOLD THATS THE ONE THEY USE IN THERE OFFICE AFTER THAT I STARTED USING THEM AND THEY ARE PRETTY GOOD.
