wice now it has deleted the last 2 bars of an 8 bar sequence in the majority of the tracks in that sequence for no determinable reason.
this just sounds like you accidentally truncated your sequence, dont know about the other stuff though...but please be more detailed, you didn't even say what track type/edit mode you were in!
Yeah I understand that exactly what it sounds like and what I would of asked if the poster was sure hadn't happened but that's not the case (at least not the second time.)
Created a project from new, main interest in learning the Chop facility of the MPC (although still hoping to develop it into something I may use so setting it out in the layout I have decided to try first with live using track mutes. First 4 tracks different kick drum parts over MIDI to my synth so I can tweak the sound live. Track 5 first break, chopped and sequenced so it plays as usual (plan is to then chop and glitch over next three tracks.) Similar with track 9 but different break. Track 13 - 16 different fills and rides. Samples, effects and synth parts will come later.
It was either track 9 or 13 I had got to no issues. Hit play and found the first load had suddenly truncated 2 bars short, which I'm pretty positive I had never done as I had never had to lengthen the length of the sequence (although I quite often had to shorten it by a bar due to how copy and paste seems to work. Still getting my head around that a bit...)
How the bit that makes me 100% positive it can't be due to accidentally shortening the length of the sequence. I have been working on this while on a late-shift at work and it was time to go home. Checked each track played through correctly, nothing missing. Went to save and saved everything (I need to stop doing that as I'm wasting space fast but need to sus exactly how saves of different types differ.) Everything should be hunky dory on reloading the project right? Wrong! Exactly the same tracks that had lost the last couple of bars earlier had it missing again when I loaded the project up tonight. The last few tracks I entered had information in the whole 8 bars and if it had been due to shorting the length of the sequence then all the tracks would of only had 6 bars of information.
I'm guessing the T/C thing may of been to be expected though as people say be wary of it. Was just strange how different parts lost different notes even though they were entered in exactly the same points using grid edit.
